Another in my series of birch trees. This one has the portrait orientation. Painting wraps onto the sides of this standard depth canvas.
Abstract in Gray
This was painted "live" at the Agape Gallery in Cleveland as a part of one of their "process shows". The painting was started and finished that night as a demonstration of the painting process. (July 2013) It was sold at the gallery.

Another painting inspired by my time in Thailand working with my daughter and Help Save the Kids. Bamboo shoots on a background that was learned while I painted on walls.

Plaster Stripe Technique 2
A close of another sample of the plaster stripe technique. You can see the look of texture and the beauty of applying the product in multiple coatings with a blade. A variety of colors can be done. This is typically not a technique done on a whole wall but perhaps under a chair rail etc.
An office that needed an update but posed some challenges as the walls had seems that needed to be hidden. I painted "fabric" like a weaving in "sheets" as wide as called for to hide the seams in the walls. It turned out looking like somewhat like wallpaper.
Plaster stripe Technique
This is a picture of a technique that involves a synthetic plaster applied in several layers- a wash is put over it and then striping technique added and another wash of pigments put over it. The wall area looks like it has dimension but it is smooth. A variety of colors can be done. See other photo that has a close up of the same technique on a different project.
It seems I need to be active and doing something either physically or creatively-using my hands most of the time. I’ve been painting walls and rooms etc for years, and I’ve also done many different faux techniques and murals. Painting on canvas, wood and other surfaces is another way to fill the creative outlet.
