Give Thanks Ps 107.1 Right
Mixed media and acrylics on stretched canvas approx. 3/4" deep.
On a trip several years ago to help a ministry in Kiev Ukraine I was put in charge of this mural project. The artwork was originally done an artist there as a small piece. My job was to transfer the work to this large wall..(over 8' high and probably 30-40' long) My normal method of transfering murals didn't work so it was done by the older type method. Several students, staff and others helped paint when they had time. The person in charge of me mixed the paints for me as paint in other parts of the world are not the same as what I was familiar with. Lots of fun...and it brightened up an area of the city. I was honored to be part of this project.
A "temporary" set for a children's church program. Done of 4 panels of styrofoam boards.
My "first" cityscape. A night view with the lights of the city coming from behind the buildings. Reflections on the water...As I painted I just did what was in my mind and thoughts...although it might look like a real city to you. This picture was also in an issue of the Cleveland Magazine when they interviewed the gallery that it hung in.
Another children's church project...

It seems I need to be active and doing something either physically or creatively-using my hands most of the time. I’ve been painting walls and rooms etc for years, and I’ve also done many different faux techniques and murals. Painting on canvas, wood and other surfaces is another way to fill the creative outlet. I find that painting is also a...Click here to continue reading
