I have seen some spectacular sunrises this winter and I can’t wait to paint some of them! The best ones seemed to be on the coldest mornings, I’m not sure why. The snow has melted for now and although many people in my part of Ohio are happy about that-it just doesn’t sit right with me. I love all the seasons and like the weather associated with them in their “correct” season. All the grass is visible as I look out my window, but the birds sure are enjoying the moment.
I had the unique opportunity to do a painting demo and have a few paintings on display last Saturday at Berg’s Baby & Teen Furniture in Lyndhurst Ohio. The owner of Milk Street Baby reached out to me and asked me if I would like to be a part of the event to introduce her new line of cribs and dressers to the Cleveland area. It seems that decorating a baby’s room has changed a lot since I had my little ones and parents are choosing art that is not typically what I would have thought. Who would have known? (not me) So consider original and different art for those baby rooms. Check these companies out if you or someone you know needs baby furniture.
Stella’s Art Gallery…….
in the Match Works Building, in Mentor had an open call to artists for a Black and White show. I decided to try something different and used some repurposed organ keys to make a couple of art pieces. My art is always at Stella’s Art Gallery and I switch out paintings on a regular basis so take a peek at what’s there. If you haven’t stopped at the gallery yet don’t miss out-there are over 30 local artists represented there with a variety of styles and mediums. Oh..AND…….I’m taking a pottery class there! Fun!
