If you find yourself in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland I have a week or so left for my solo show at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes- (2600 S Park Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44120 Mon-Sat 10-5 Sun 1-5) This show is on till August 4th.

As always you can view and purchase my artwork at Stella’s Art Gallery in the Matchworks Building in Mentor. (8500 Station Street M-Tues Closed, Wed-Sat 11-8, Sun 11-3) Not only are there original paintings there, but prints, boxes of stationary, coasters and more. And 30 other artists work to see also. There are new shows each month in the main gallery, so there are new things to see all the time.

Continuing my creative outlet!

I’ve been making some new type of art-some smaller pieces and working on a couple larger pieces as well. I’m working on a mixed media quadriptych (4-part painting) for a business’s lunchroom and another painting as well.

For many months, my husband and I had been talking about replacing the carpet on the steps in our house.  We couldn’t decide if we wanted to put carpet back on or cap the treads with either wood or a “wood-look”. Upon realizing the expense of the project and still not certain what way we wanted to go, I ripped the carpet off and painted the steps with porch paint hoping we could decide. A month or so went by and I decided to do a treatment on the stairs that I had seen done on floors! I’m not done just yet because well-it’s summer and there are other fun things to do and …. you can only do every other step so you can still walk up the stairs as things are drying. But here’s a sneak peek. I’ll have to repaint the trim after I am done but so far, we like it!

One of the fun things I’ve been enjoying is paddle boarding! I love being outside and this is relaxing and quiet and gives me additional inspiration for my artwork. Now I just need to find more places to go and find a few other people that want to join me!

It’s been 3 years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I feel good and just got a good report on my last visit to the doctors. I was just listening to a message that encouraged us to dream and to think of many dreams that God has given you and write them down. I just may do that…. how about you?
